Grant Opportunities

The Idalou Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) is pleased to announce an exciting grant opportunity that will be made available to commercial property owners and business owners located in commercial zoned areas within the city limits of Idalou.

The Façade Grant Program will open February 1, 2021 and the IEDC Board will accept applications through November 30, 2021. Applications will be reviewed by the Idalou EDC Board in April, June, August, October, and December.

Applicants will be asked to describe their project(s), estimate project costs, explain the need for the improvements, current use of the building, and provide the location of the building. To meet grant requirements, a building must be in a commercially zoned area; B-1 Light Business District, B-2 Business District, Secondary and Highway Business District, and Industrial District. If you are unsure of your zoning, please call City Hall and we will be happy to assist you in determining your zoning.

The IEDC Board will have final approval of applications that meet these requirements in an amount up to 50% of the cost of the improvement, but not more than $5,000.00 per project.
